At Canadian Blood Services, we are supporting patients’ on-going needs for blood and blood products. We want to tell you about COVID-19 related changes that affect your blood event. We have taken steps to comply with the Public Health Agency of Canada’s directive on physical distancing. We have added screening measures for the safety of donors and employees. We are shifting capacities in a manner that optimizes our collection network and abides by the latest scientific eviden...ce. Locally, we regret to cancel our Tuesday, April 7th donor centre in Cornwall. However, we welcome donors to join us at the next donation event at the Cornwall Civic Complex on May 5th. You can re-book your appointment by calling 1-888-2-DONATE, at blood.ca or through the GiveBlood app. Until further notice, all appointments must be scheduled in advance. The need for blood will continue during this pandemic. We are in a marathon not a sprint. We’re grateful for donors who are supporting Canada’s lifeline. We’re also thankful for the care and dedication of our employees. Thank you for your support and understanding.
