Well, yesterday was our last delivery of the season. Man, what a season. We created an online market not only to connect our community with the best food our ar...ea has to offer, but also to support the farmers and vendors we love. It was a huge success thanks to all of you. We still have lots of work to do on the farm. Today is garlic planting day, lots of clean up to do in the fields and barn, spread some compost.... and soon we order seed for 2021! I also have some big plans for our farm grown herbal teas, more info coming soon. I still have lots of lettuce, mesclun, kale, greens if anyone wants some send me a message. We hope everyone enjoys the time with the family this weekend. This will be next week's menu. We are excited about Friday's lunch dish and would encourage eve...ryone interested to pre-order as everything is made from scratch. We are still working around the clock to get our website up and running and our "official" menu will be added. It has been a venture learning how to run a WordPress website but will be worth the frustrations involved. We have our 2 daughters birthday party coming up, after this party is celebrated, we can focus on investing in a meat slicer. She:kon/KweKwe/Morning, This week's menu!!! We have been overwhelmed with personal life situations, juggling homeschool, and making sure our menu stays hi...gh-quality. We wouldn't want it any other way =). It's safe to say the dust is beginning to settle after a successful party for 2 of our girls. We couldn't have done it without our community and family support system. Brandon has been working hard in creating menus. He has been working hard on designing a website so we can introduce his virtual menu. Brandon has been working hard making social media clips to creating e-mail platforms. We haven't forgotten about Oak's Convenience and still have to come up with a plan fort "Saint". In time we will be able to show all the hard work. Brandon is practicing the art of "patience & organization" and we can only hope it shows lol. In addition, we have been receiving special meal requests. We would encourage people to message us with cravings and ideas. Brandon can create anything and make any dish "pop." Please give us a 24hr notice for these types of orders and requests. In addition to these types of requests, we would need money paid in full before we can act on the order. (This is where our website is crucial to make our clients experience a pleasant one) We appreciate everyone's patients and understanding during these rough Covid times. We have a chance to act on a building for a location. It will take some serious upgrades but the location seems worth it. It would be on the corner of Arena Rd & Island Rd. Realistically it can be done by the end of December. This would really turn 613UrbanFarms into a set stone in our community. We are encouraging everyone to SHARE SHARE SHARE this virtual menu. The way we look at it, the more shares, the less paper being used. So not only are we supporting each other, by SHARING this menu helps preserve our Mother Earth on small scales.
