It was Career Dress Up Day and our students and staff did not disappoint!! We wish we could have taken pictures of everyone but here are some highlights. There will be more in this year’s yearbook. Explanations of some ideas are in the comments of the photos. Great job, everyone!! Haha!

Career Dress Up Day is tomorrow!!

Attention Grad 2020 Families: We have a copy of last year's yearbook for each grad 2020 student. Please arrange for pickup of the yearbook from the school as soon as possible. Thank you! You can call the school at 403-578-3661 if you need to make an alternate arrangement.

Super Skaters! Our Elementary Grades went skating in February for most PE classes and also participated in a skateathon this week. Funds raised will support the school snacks program. Mrs Schedlosky organized skating for Gr K-4 and Mr. Aarts organized skating for Gr 5 & 6. Mr. Knight also took his Jr High Outdoor Ed. class skating a few times. Fun was had by all and skating skills improved a lot! Thank you to the teachers amd EA’s that came over to the rink to tie skates, to the organizing teachers, the Town of Coronation for the use of the rink, to the donators of the Skateathon and to the students for all the smiles and fun.

Reminder for High schoolers: Transition meetings have been booked for each student. Grade 10's -Monday, January 25, Grade 11's -Tuesday, January 26 Grade 12's -Wednesday, January 27 Grade 12’s are also invited to a workshop on writing citations & formats in preparation for post-secondary written work on Monday. ... Students were given their times by one of their teachers this past week. (unless other arrangements have been made) Please call the office at 403-578-3661 if you do not know your time. If a student cannot make their meeting time work, please contact the school to discuss the option of scheduling a Google Meet. Thanks Gr 10-12 are not expected to attend Mon-Thurs except for their meeting. No school for ALL students on Friday, January 29th because it is a P.D. Day.

A little extra money to start off the year!!! Coronation & District Food Bank applied for and received funding for Club Moo from the 2020 Rural and Northern Capacity Fund. The Rural and Northern Capacity Fund, administered by Food Banks Canada, is made possible through the Government of Canada to address gaps in food security services within rural and Northern communities and also to assist families during COVID-19. So what this means is that the 2020 Rural and Northern Capac...ity Fund grant that the Coronation and District Food Bank applied for will cover all the milk orders for the January to March order. A big thank you to Dianne Schmidt (who is the Executive Officer of the Coronation and District Food Bank) for thinking of us. More great news...... Our school received a nutrition grant and we are using some of the money to supply lunch to our students on February 3rd. Your child received an order form for a 6sub from Subway on Fri. Please complete the form and return it to school by Friday, Jan. 22.

Heads up for Gym Class: Please ensure your child has appropriate indoor athletic shoes that fit properly and can be tied easily. They will also require good outdoor athletic shoes for the next few months, as most of our classes will be outside. Please notify us if your child has any injuries that would limit their mobility in gym class. PE Teachers

Welcome back to school to our Grade K,1,2,3,4,5,& 6 classes today!! We are very excited to see you all!! Its going to be a great year full of opportunity to grow, learn, be resilient and have fun!!

Start Right Playschool will be starting September 15. Registration is online, same as any other grade. 3 yr old class starts at 9am to 11am. 4 yr old class starts at 12:40 pm to 3:10 pm. Fees are $30 for September and $50 for each month starting in October. We are running our program at a near normal level with extra cleaning and sanitizing precautions. Hello Everyone! We are very much looking forward to seeing all of our students very soon! Please note that there is a change to the start up date for the first day of school by having a staggered start. This plan is to assist with our goal of a smooth, stress free start to this school year by allowing staff to work carefully with students to establish new routines, rules and to help them to understand changes and expectations. Schedule:... Gr. K-6 ONLY on the first day (Aug 31) Gr. 7-9 ONLY the second day (Sept 1) Gr.10-12 ONLY the third day (Sept 2) ALL students will attend on Thursday(Sept 3) & Friday (Sept 4th) Kindergarten will also attend Wednesday but not Friday to maintain Mrs. Plehnerts plans that she has already communicated in her letter to parents in hopes to save confusion. Further details and information for a successful school start up will be posted very soon. Also, a handbook from Clearview is coming to you soon in an effort to help answer questions.
