11 YEARS AGO TODAY!!!. . Today marks 11 years ago of probably the scariest day of my life. What started out like any other amazing day out on the water with friends. We were just on the far side of Pitt lake and I was driving. A buddy was wakesurfing on the back and had just fallen off. Just as I slowed down @ben_moznik stood up on the front of the boat to ask where we headed and as we slowed down he fell off the boat and right underneath me. I felt a ‘Bump’ and I knew it w...as bad. 12-15 ppl on the boat and nobody saw him fall. When he came up it looked like a shark attack. I bolted as quick as I could and I was into the water swimming as fast as I could nobody knew what I was doing. . When I got to him he was flailing around...and I came up behind him to grab him before he started sinking and I put my hand INSIDE HIS BODY!!! By then everyone could see the blood and it was a mad panic. No cell service so we had wrapped him in towels and on to the swim deck to get close enough to call for an air lift. 45 min later we get to the boat launch and Ben was taken in helicopter to Royal Columbian hospital where he went thru multiple surgeries to get to this picture which is NOWHERE NEAR where it started. . It changed boating for me for life. . It also gave me my best friend. . I’ve seen him get married to @chichimoznik and have 2 beautiful kids that I love like my own. . This is why I’m always on watch now on the water and why EVERYONE this long weekend needs to remember be safe and even when your doing everything right...something could go wrong. .
