Found while sorting through boxes: a very vintage chin strap! Quite the beauty aid, this was meant to improve one’s profile. Also reminds us to wear our face masks properly during the pandemic: over the mouth and nose, not on your chin! #vintagebeauty #vintagechinstrap #maskup

We are heartbroken to learn that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ‘54 has passed away Justice Ginsburg was a proud Cornell alumna who generously donated one of her... judicial collars to us for our 2018-19 exhibit WOMEN EMPOWERED: Fashions from the Frontline. The Peter Pan style collar was designed by Catherine Osti and includes a beautiful ornate clasp. The final photo in this series is of Justice Ginsburg when she was a senior at Cornell (taken in December 1953).
