Introduction to Beekeeping | $249 This popular course will introduce you to the basics of practical beekeeping and will provide you with the knowledge to get started with your own honey bees. The two full-day sessions will include demonstrations of equipment and protective gear along with beekeeping techniques and best management practices. A half-day virtual field trip to the instructor's hives will be scheduled in June. Occupational First Aid Level 1 | $125 When accidents happen, you need to be able to handle the situation. This seven-hour program equips you with emergency skills needed to stabilize an injured person until trained help arrives. Areas covered include bleeding control, CPR and AED, and conscious and unconscious choking. Course fee includes the book. Upon successful completion, students receive a WorkSafeBC OFA Level 1 Certificate, valid for three years.
