Starting today we are re opening our exam rooms to allow one person in with their pet for an appointment. Masks are required and the room will be cleaned thoroughly between appointments. The option for curb-side / phone service is still available, just let our staff know your preference when you arrive!

Although we are still operating under a closed waiting room, we are expanding our services to add in more routine services. Call the clinic to book! 604-824-5848
Not sure how to get the flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medication you need during this physical distancing period? We have 2 options available! See our website to learn more https://cottonwoodclinic.ca/parasite-prevention/
The weather is warmer and the fleas are not social distancing! Its time to make sure you have your pet protected. See the link to find out how you can still have your pet protected while adhering to social distancing guidelines. https://cottonwoodclinic.ca/parasite-prevention/
Just a reminder that even as other aspects of society are "opening up" and loosening restrictions, we are continuing to have a closed waiting room policy until further notice. It isn't easy for any of us, and we are sorry for any frustration and difficulty it causes. Our goal is to keep our staff healthy so we can continue to be here for you and your furry friends.

Starting tomorrow we will be operating under reduced hours: 8-5:30 Monday to Friday and still 9-5 on Saturdays. All after-hour emergencies will be referred to the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley. Thank you for your understanding. https://animalemerg.com/
CLINIC UPDATE: During this COVID-19 crisis we are doing our best to stay open. We have changed our system to a closed door policy. Please note that when you arrive to the clinic you will be advised to call our number and an assistant will admit your pet from the door. We will have the Doctor call you while you wait in the car and we will perform the exam/ appointment over the phone. We are doing our best to protect the community and our staff while still being available for you and your four legged family members. Your patience with us at this time is appreciated.
At Cottonwood Veterinary clinic the ongoing health and safety of our clients, their pets, and the dedicated team members that serve the community, is our top priority. We are committed to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and adhere to a strict standard of protocols to achieve this. As you have heard, the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is occuring in Canada with cases reported in several provinces. To keep up-to-date, we are following guidelines for best practice...s from local, national and international health authorities. In light of recent news, we will be taking additional measures to ensure that our veterinary hospital is cleaned and sanitized more frequently, particularly in the client-facing areas like reception and waiting areas. We are confident that continued vigilance will help keep our work environment safe, and all those who are in it healthy. Please help us by using hand sanitizer available in the reception area. If you have concerns about visiting our hospital or waiting with your pet, please call ahead to discuss options such as pet drop-off. In addition, we ask that if you are feeling any symptoms such as a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing, please call so that we can reschedule your appointment. Note that currently there is limited evidence that pets can be infected with the virus, and no evidence that they can be a source of infection to other animals or to humans. We encourage you to speak to one of our veterinarians or technicians if you have questions or need more clarification. For up-to-date guidance on companion animals and the Coronavirus, please refer to the World Small Animal Veterinary Association website: https://wsava.org/ We will continue to provide updates as more information and guidelines become available. Sincerely, Your dedicated team at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic
We are getting a lot of inquiries about Covid-19 in dogs. Since this virus has not been seen until recently, not much is known about how or even if it will affect dogs. The article below outlines what we do know. As the information evolves, we will keep you updated.
