With the Government announcement made December 8, there is very little change to how Coulee Collegiate operates as we were already following the procedures outlined by the government. See below for the procedures we implemented November 30 and that are currently still in place. 1. All students showing up on campus must now have an appointment booked through our receptionist (403) 526-4156. 2. Thursday evening Math Tutoring is by weekly appointment only and it will be limited.... We will take new bookings for the week starting Monday mornings. 3. Registrations and student help are still ongoing. This can still be done in person or virtually via Google Meets. We would like to recommend Google Meets to keep the number of students on campus low. 4. We encourage students to work on their course at home, but if students must come in to access our building for a quiet place to work, they must now book a time to do this. 5. There are no changes to CC exams. They are mandatory, supervised and need to be written at CC or the student’s priority school. We have secluded writing spaces here at CC. 6. Diploma Exams for the remainder of the school year (including August 2021) are now optional. If students choose not to write, their final grade will become their class mark. If they choose to write, the Diploma Mark (30%) will be blended with their school mark, as per normal Alberta Education procedures. 7. There is a drop box (looks like a filing cabinet) inside the main entrance way to the Medicine Hat College. You are welcome to drop off assignments/books here, as long as they are properly identified to who they came from. Keep working on your courses and let us know if you need help. We’re teaching! Today was Day 1 for our Virtual Face to Face classes at Coulee Collegiate (for mature students)! Students are timetabled for their classes at specific times, and they dial in via Google Meet to listen and interact with their teachers. It’s not the same as being in class, but it’s as close as you can get ... students virtually "attend" classes every day and work with their teachers. Our Distance Learning started last Monday and we are very busy meeting with ...students to get them enrolled in their DL courses. We started planning this adventure 6 months ago and I am happy to say we’re running at full capacity on Day 1. It has been a lot of work and late nights for staff, so a big thanks to everyone at Coulee Collegiate who have worked tirelessly to get this new school going! It has been an exciting start up for Coulee Collegiate staff and students. Our Face to Face classes for mature students begins September 1. Our virtual orientation kicks off at 10:00 am. Our teachers have been doing some Professional Development around best practices for on-line teaching and we are fortunate to have experienced on-line teachers in our mix to lead us through this. Our team of counsellors/teachers on the Distance Learning side of the school is now into week... two of signing up students for core and option courses. Registrations are taking place in person and via Google Meet. The 2020-2021 school year is off to a great start at Coulee Collegiate!

Coulee Collegiate is located on the third floor of the B Wing, but at this point, students and parents do not have physical access to our facility. ... How do I register? Call Coulee College between 4:00-8:00 on Tuesday or Wednesday to set up a registration appointment. Registrations will continue via Google Meet until further notice. Beyond Walls Outreach School is open to our students and new registrations as we transition to Coulee Collegiate. June 23, 24 and 25 - 8:30am-3:00pm June 26 - 8:30am - 1:00pm... Our Summer School hours begin the week of June 29. We are available for registration appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Please call the school during our office hours to book an appointment. We are open Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4:00pm -8:00 pm for the months of July and August with the exception of: July 1 closed July 14 closed July 15 - closed We will be back to regular school hours starting the week of August 25th. Current students are asked to continue to hand in assignments into our drop box located at the back of Beyond Walls School.

Beyond Walls Outreach School is excited to announce our collaboration with Medicine Hat College and Medicine Hat Public School Division No. 76 to amalgamate our outreach resources under one umbrella. Our current students will continue without interruption as we transition to Coulee Collegiate. BWOS will operate at our Allowance Ave. location until the end of June and will be relocating to the MHC the summer of 2020 (please watch for details).
