Good Evening District 7 and residents of the MODY, Thank you all for your continued support throughout the past 3 months. I continue to orientate and educate myself to the new role and my committee appointments. I'm excited to start addressing a number of the issues affecting our community. While at your doors I promised to be open and transparent. In continuing this effort I will be posting regularly to this page. Look for council meeting updates and highlights along w...ith news relating to our community. I have already had the opportunity to address some issues brought forward during the election. Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue will be presenting to our Council in January with the goal to help stabilize this important service. I am excited to move forward on what a pool will look like for our residents, these conversations are due to accelerate in January. Most recently the municipality started the conversation to address what a policy would look like for water in times of drought. These are only a few of the conversations that need to happen. Over the Christmas break I witnessed two dangerous accidents along the airport stretch and its time we address safety in this area. I will continue to advocate for road conditions and sidewalks as I know they are a big concern for all. Rural high speed internet development continues to move forward and if you have questions about this please contact me. I encourage all residents to reach out as issues can only be addressed if we are talking about them. Lets work to keep this positive as not everything moves quickly but it’s the end result that will matter.
