Ryan Mitchell Port McNeill Councillor

I just came home from the AGM of North Island Community Services a non-profit that operates Huckleberry House, the Transit Service, Thrift Store, Community LInks, Services for Families, and numerous other programs for the benefit of all. It is great to see so many volunteers supporting this great organization. NICS celebrated 40 years of service this year!

I have let my name stand for the position of town councillor for Port McNeill. I believe in a strong local government working for issues that are important to Port McNeill . Some ot the issues I will work on are: improved Medical Diagnostic equipment in Port McNeill so we don't have to travel down island so often for tests. A decision on the future of the Old School bulding; additional seniors housing; a more family friendly waterfront with a fishing float so our kids have a safe place to fish, a kayak float for easy access to get in and out of the water; moorage rates that reflect the priority interests of North Island residents . I will strive to make our town attractive for new business to locate here. On October 20 vote
