"And then the rain, Down from up, Bombing the porch rail Exploding white campfire fountains"... WIlmot Ragsdale from "Summer Storm"
January 19-March 9, 2021 7-9pm (8 weeks) $200 Max. 12 In this course we talk about some of what we have learned about the many permutations of love. We explore family love, pet love, friend love, love in adolescence and early adulthood, love in mid-life, and love in the years of wisdom. We explore these relationships in terms of intimacy, connection, vulnerability, compassion, nurturing, and identity. Love is often problematic in that we have ideals about how love should be, ...and narratives we've developed around how it is, or how it was. This course focuses on the "inner work" of loving and feeling loved. In addition to individual writing exploration, members will be encouraged to develop behaviors that nurture love of self, and to maintain gratitude through journaling as part of this course. https://www.joeleneheathcote.com/ev/when-we-talk-about-love See more

Hello Locals -
A great writing week! I'm thankful for my fellow writers dedicating themselves to the craft of writing, and for sharing a love of this form of expression. And I'm thankful for our little meetup group of poets who meet on Mondays at the Bent Mast. You inspire me!
I'm really looking forward to this!
