Statement From: New Ross Regional Development Society As an organization we have to be cautious about having visitors come to our community. As a result we have... made the difficult decision to cancel the 27th New Ross Christmas Festival. Some businesses and organizations may still chose to be open. It has been a hard week for our neighbours in HRM and East Hants. Let's send them a collective virtual hug . We are working on finalizing our set up for th...e Avon Community Farmers' Christmas Market (Sunday, 10am to 2pm, Windsor Community Centre) and thank the wonderful staff from West Hants Regional Municipality and Farmers' Markets of Nova Scotia who have helped and provided guidance on how we can safely move ahead. On early Sunday morning we will do a short video showing the set up and how traffic will flow through the event. There will be lots of signage and we will volunteers on hand to ensure a smooth event. This decisi...on is based on the most recent COVID-19 restrictions that come into effect on Thursday, November 26th. Non-essential travel in and out of the Halifax area is strongly discouraged, and Hubbards is included in that announcement. Our Market draws customers heavily from HRM, and our concern is for the health and safety of our wider community.
