RED LEVEL ALERT The following details the changes and directives that will take place in a school or early learning and child care faculties in the red level. Early learning in child care facilities located in a red level zone are permitted to continue to operate. Parents, who do not usually access licensed childcare for their school age children, may enrol them in a child care to permit continued employment. Only early learning and child care facility staff, children, and ...personnel deemed essential, such as representatives from Public Health, WorkSafe NB or the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development are permitted to enter a ELCF in a red level. Changes to groupings of children are not permitted in a red level... new registrations and enrolments are permitted in a red level. Where ever possible, and if number support them, new groupings are recommended for new enrolled children. SCREENING Active screening will be done before entering Country Kids Daycare. This applies to early learning and childcare facility staff, children, and all other personnel deemed essential such as representatives from Public Health, WorkSafe NB B or the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Temperature checks will be done twice a day, upon arrival and again at mid day. MASK USE Children under five years of age in an early learning and childcare faculties are not required to wear a community mask within the group. However, children over the age of two years old are required to wear a community mask in common areas such as Corridors and bathrooms. Children must be supervised depending on the child’s ability to tolerate a mask, as well as, when putting on and taking the mask off. School age children 4 to 12 in ELCF are required to wear a mask at all times, including outside. Exceptions will be made when they’re eating. All employees of an early learning in childcare facilities are required to wear a mask at all times, including outside. Exceptions will be when they’re eating or sitting alone in an office or room. School age children and ELCF employees are expected to bring two clean community mask with them each day. Country Kids Daycare is taking every precaution to keep children , staff and families safe. If your child shows one symptom they will not be able to attend. If your child is not attending can you please call the daycare before 10 am so we can confirm the reason why they are out. Effective December 7th the hours of operation at Country Kids Daycare will temporarily change to 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. With the rules from the Chief Medical Officer of Public Health and Premier Higgs in regards to the 15 bubble we do not have the staffing to accommodate our regular hours. There is no grouping of children outside of the 15 bubble under any acceptions. We apologize for the inconvenience. An operational plan has been sent out for all parents. Thanks in advance. Ali

Just a reminder to all parents about 2021 registration for Kindergarten Day.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning just released the COVID-19 protocol for the 2020 - 2021 school year in regards to transportation to and from school. Please keep in mind CKD does not offer part-time attendance in the after school program. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me directly at [email protected]. We will still have some details to iron out. I wanted to post this ASAP as we have so many parents and staff that have been waiting for this information. CKD wants to welcome all the children back. We had a great day yesterday. Everyone was very happy to see each other. Just a quick little update. We are still a go with May 25th as a start date. The meeting with the Department of Education and Early Child Learning was very positive and they were very Thorough with the information and procedures as we move forward: along with being very supportive. We started contacting parents today to update our information for Public Health and start dates for the chikdten. Due to the large amount of families it will take until mid week to contact everyon...e. During this time I will also update my Master contact information for all parents so I can send out a mass email when needed....we were extremely pleased to say all families we called are returning other than a family that is unsure of their start date. We have received several calls from families looking for spaces but we will not guarantee any spots until each and every family at CKD is contacted. All the previous staff will be returning as well so the kids will be seeing familiar faces. When you receive your call from Corrine or myself feel free to ask any questions at that time. Not to much has changed. Some extra paperwork and cleaning to ensure safety comes first. Upon returning I will supply each family with a memo of all the changes and government links they can use for information and support. I am holding a session for all of the staff on Wednesday (May 20th) to go over the information before they join the children. I would not move forward with opening if I did not feel comfortable. I just want to take the opportunity to wish all the children and families back to Country Kids Daycare. We will be re-opening on May 25th as we want to be prepared and educated on the new norm. I have an on line meeting at 1:30 pm tomorrow (May 11th) I will then update our FB Page with all the details. I did not want to leave families hanging. I am waiting on further direction from The Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning along with The Department of Health ...and Safety. There has been so much speculation that CKD is choosing to remain closed until May 25th to allow us time to ensure all safety measurements are clear and understood. Good Evening Parents Country Kids Daycare will not be charging any parents as of March 13, 2020. This is an awful time and I do not want to create any more hardships on families. You will be receiving your invoice with by email or Corrine Arbeau will text you for services already rendered. To hold your spot this needs to be paid immediately. Country Kids Daycare still has obligations to my staff. With out the co operation of the parents who have outstanding bills it is not ...possible. We are not charging until we re open. Any outstanding balances will jeopardize your spot. I am trying to be fair and my parents but my staff have bills as well. Thank you for your co-operation. Dear Parents Effective tomorrow, the province has made the decision to shut daycares down. They are going to make a formal announcement this afternoon. When they do I will post it on this page along with any other information big or small. I just wanted to get the information out as soon as possible as I know a lot of families do not have family to help them out at this trying time. The safety of the children comes first. Good afternoon. I Just want to give everyone an update. There has been no change or new announcements from the government. Tomorrow will be business as usual. We will be open full time for the after school program and the rates will be the same as the summer for the next few weeks. $140 per week which will include the children’s snacks and lunch. The only change I can foresee is we may not be able to follow our menu to a T due to the lack of inventory at the grocery stores ...and there will be no leaving the centre for outing during this pandemic. Staff will have extra cleaning duties to make sure we stay on top of any germs that could be spread. Children running any kind of fever or cold symptoms will be sent home for the safety of the other children and staff. CKD is not forcing any staff to work as they need to do what they feel is best for themselves and their families. I understand how overwhelming this must be for everyone. I just received an email from the Department of Education asking that I check my emails regularly through out the weekend. So no decision will be made today. I will be working all weekend to stay on top of the situation and as soon as I receive any information big or small it will be posted on our FB page ASAP. I appreciate everyone working together. Along with it effecting the health of the community it is going to have a huge financial impact on families as well. A great c...omparison is the Titanic. Friends and other guest tried to warn them that the ship was sinking but they kept dancing. It’s one thing to panic...which we should not be doing. Turning a blind eye and ignoring the concerns to a virus we have no cure for is absolutely insane. We as Canadians need to educate ourselves because of other peoples stupidity and selfishness to keep travelling at this time. There is no need to panic but families should be prepared. Or they can keep dancing like nothing is happening. This effects small business owners, the stock market and the global economy. With the covid -19 approaching Canada I will continue to update this page for our parents and staff. I believe Minster Dominic Cardy will be making an announcement this afternoon. Country Kids Daycare will follow the protocol directed to us by the Minister of Education. The children’s/staff safety comes first. As soon as the announcement is made today or any others to follow will be posted on this page within 5-10 minutes. Stock up on groceries would be my first priority. I just wanted to apologize to any parents that did not receive the new cell number. The province requires us to call every child by 10:00 am to see if a child is attending daycare as we need to record the reason why they are out. If we have one child in the entire centre that does not have a reason for being absent. It shows up on line files in-completed In April or May the number was changed to 871-6468. Parents are welcome to text us but we need to make a call on our en...d. Staff were asked to notify parents of the new number. In the future I will post and information like this on our fb page. Update for parents I Need ALL staff to find another spot to park until further notice other than the church. NO ONE can park there. I would suggest that the early staff park across the street before the workers take those spots. The buses are not there. So that space is available. The traffic is going to have to go through the church and out. Weather permitting have the kids outside and ready to make this as easy on the parents as possible. Keep rotating the kids to the fron...t playground so the parents can pull in via the church and down without having to get out and wonder where their children are. Have as much ready to go as possible...hats, jackets...anything. I am not sure who opens but when we have a few staff in ...I think we should block the upper part. They will never be able to get turned around. I’d ask the city to block it off. I can’t answer how long this is going to be in effect for as they were suppose to start on June 24. When they close off the other end of the driveway the flow can go via the church and out the usual way.
