I have the best students in the world! (If you look close, the flowers are Purdy's chocolates!) Thank you Annique, Adelyn and Donna!
Wow, am I ever glad the horses are all tucked in their stalls! It is absolutely POURING!!!!!
The snow definitely looks beautiful but remember that it will slide off the arena roof!
YUCK!!!!!! The wind is back! The horses really enjoyed rolling in the snow, in the sun with no wind yesterday.YUCK!!!!!! The wind is back! The horses really enjoyed rolling in the snow, in the sun with no wind yesterday.
Fun times at our Halloween Fun Day! The costumes were amazing! (Sorry I didn't get everyone's pictures ... my camera was not behaving itself!) Thank you to everyone who helped out, especially Robin Ray for the amazing decorating of the indoor arena!!!!
I am glad that McCoy has found a new friend after losing his buddy Tique last year. It only took about 60 seconds for Joker and McCoy to first scratch each others' necks and then get into some play time!
The ice storm was definitely beautiful but I am glad it is now history!
Halloween Fun Day 2017!
Countryside Stables 3rd Annual Halloween Fun Day is coming up on Saturday, October 28th. The costume class will be at 10:00 am, followed by games and then a potluck. I am looking forward to seeing all the amazing costumes that everyone comes up with! Please let me know what you would like to bring to the potluck.
Countryside Stables had a great time at the MREC Dog Days of Summer Horse Show!
Dr. Gail Jewel, DVM, CAC is coming to Countryside Stables to do a Spine Centered Therapy Clinic on April 16th from 1:00 to 5:00. Dr. Jewell is from the Kelowna area and has invested six years out of her practice to study back pain as a result of riding. She is also a Certified Animal Chiropractor and has studied and practices homeopathy, nutritional and herbal medicine. We will learn how to use common sense exercises and stretching techniques to prevent and manage back pain. Cost will be somewhere between $100 and $125 per person/horse (depending on how many people sign up). If you are interested, I will need a $60 deposit by March 15th.
