Country Strong Boer Goats

This is what makes my world go round some days! Last night my doe Leah (who is my baby, she is spoiled I'm not gonna lie and is absolutely favourite doe) went into labour. YAY! Not so much.. this big chunk of a doeling decided she wanted to be shaped backwards .. after lots of adjusting and gentle pulling by Marshall we got this sweet girl into the world! She has her mommas sweet personality already having a quick cuddle with me tonight before I had to head back to the house to get the human child bathed and ready for the next school day. Every day has something to look forward to!

These 2 might just be my favourite kids for looks so far. They are incredibly cute and built like little bricks! Cinnamon their mom is a commercial doe we bought in the spring with her doeling and that purchase was a great one. Cinnamon is a sweet doe, she has great udder attachment and amazing mothering instincts. She is only 2 years old as well so I have many more years to look forward to her kids. Kids (buck on the left doe on the right) are sired by Red Alert.

Today was a first for us! A healthy set of quads for Country Strong Red Tail and Country Strong Red Alert. All were born unassisted, dried and nursed by Red Tail. We will be keeping a very close eye on them and assisting as needed. We also had 2 other kiddings this afternoon! 2 of our first timers Country Strong Maxxi and Country Strong Breeze By (who is Braelei's show doe) had a set of triplets and a set of twins also sired by Red Alert. Kidding has officially kicked off! Brianna had a set of triplets yesterday all traditional 2 girls 1 boy. The smallest doeling gets the smallest baby we've had at 3lbs and is a spunky little cutie! Red Light this morning said hold my beer.. I raise you 3 red triplets 2 girls 1 boy.. OUTSIDE! We got her moved down to the barn and everyone is all happy!
