I cant find the right words or string together a sentence that comes close to saying how saddened and heartbroken I am by what is happening and has been happening for far too long. its been awhile since ive shown up on here! theres a lot of you who have started following along recently so i thought it was time i shared a bit about myself. im courtney, the owner and designer behind courtney rose design. i am a calligrapher & illustrator with a collection of greeting cards that create more connection while it is fairly obvious that i am a fan of sending cards, calligraphy and teacups, i thought it would be fun to share some not so obvious tidbits of... info about me i love checking the mail, i get so excited when a parcel or handwritten envelope appears in my mailbox! feels like christmas im not a huge fan of cookie dough or baking in general (but if someone sent me a dozen cinnamon buns id still eat them) but anything involving ice cream or cheesecake is my weakness. i re-discovered panna cotta during this time and have been making a ridiculous amount of it (i highly recommend looking it up if you are a fan of desserts with heavy cream) spring is officially here and im loving sitting outside in the mornings with my coffee in my teacup and enjoying the fresh air! cant wait for our lilac bushes in the backyard to bloom! let me know in the comments if you relate to any of the above! if you disagree thats cool too - were all friends here!

one of the last things i want for you when we are working together is having to sort through a ton of emails with pdf attachments and create more chaos for you! especially if you are planning a wedding or running a business - i know how valuable your time is! I wanted to share how i keep things super organized for you! I use a client management system (crm) to send emails, invoices & contracts, and the forms for proofing, where clients are able to check off boxes and provide ...feedback right within that form. my favourite part is the client portal, where you have access to all forms, emails and documents in one place! talk about less frustration sorting through emails and saving time! I feel like its always easier for me to put my thoughts into words, rather than saying them. cheers to getting back into a regular schedule this week - you know those days between christmas and new years and never knowing what day of the week it is! with it being the new year, i wanted to introduce myself to those who are new here :) im courtney, the owner and designer behind courtney rose design. i am a calligrapher & illustrator creating greeting cards, wood signs and stationery to inspire you appreciate all the beautiful moments in life, big or small! ... its been great over the past few days to see everyones highlight reel on instagram and hear everyone sharing their goals! ive taken time to review last year on my own, and while some big accomplishments were celebrated, i also celebrated & embraced the mistakes i made. i realized they taught me what i dont want so i can change and focus on what i do want! last year showed me how to find more of a work/life balance, and how important my mindset affects my work, ability to be inspired and more - seems simple but that was a big one for me. these will always be a work in progress and thats ok :) this year im focusing on celebrating more accomplishments as they happen before moving onto the next thing, and finding & seeing more joy in everyday things! im really excited for 2020 and all it will bring! i have big ideas for this year and im looking forward to bringing more inspiration and creativity into my life, and i wish the same for you and to accomplish what youve set out to do this year! what are some things you realized last year? what are you wanting to accomplish or focus on more of this year? photo: @socialbirdco
