On August 4th a huge explosion devastated the capital city of Lebanon. One of our partners, Tearfund Canada, made an appeal last week for emergency aid for the community - recounting the 135 that have been killed, the 5,000 wounded, and the 300,000 more made homeless. The explosion could not have happened at a worse time. The country was already facing COVID-19 and a collapsing economy. Other partners, the MENA Serve Globally team, were in Lebanon in March, not so long ago. ...They also extend the invitation to join the Christian community in Lebanon that is seeking out to reach out and share what they have with their neighbours (all neighbours regardless of faith) and serve in whatever way they can. Churches are sending people out with brooms and containers to remove glass from the streets and others are providing and delivering meals.
