THIS IS WHAT'S HAPPENING TODAY It's Sunday. A beautiful, sunny Sunday with blue skies and bright white snow. What are YOU going to do with this day? For people who work Monday to Friday, Sunday is obviously one of two days off every week. You can plan for that. Enjoy the, "ahhh, it's the weekend" feeling.... For me, it's another work day. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm always happy and grateful to have clients and work. Without both, well, I wouldn't be in a very good position. I chose this work, have been at it for 13 years and I love what I do. In fact, I wish I had made the move to become a real estate broker sooner. But, many have heard me say, it's really a lifestyle, a way of life. It's with you 7 days a week, morning, noon and night. And while I am happy to work when my clients need me, sometimes I miss that feeling of "ahhh, it's the weekend". It's kind of hard to remember what it might feel like to have a whole day (or two days in a row...gasp) where I don't have to do any work. If it happened, I may actually feel afraid my business was going down the tubes, lol. I'm lucky to truly enjoy what I do and am fortunate to actually like the people I work with. Work doesn't feel like a burden that way. I always try to see the positive in situations and find enjoyment in the journey not just focus on the destination. How does that translate? If I'm driving somwhere to show property outside the city,I will opt for taking the scenic route or maybe stop to see a local sight after the showings are done. Yesterday was Brockville and I really enjoyed driving through the waterfront area. I plan to return in the summer, if Covid allows, and try a couple little restaurants there, check out the marina and boats. Today, I'm showing property in Constance Bay. I will enjoy the drive and change of scenery. After that, I will writing an offer for another client. That's a realtors life. I live it and I love it
