It is with a heavy heart that I need to inform our friends of Brad’s sudden death on August 1, 2017. I, his children, grandchildren and many friends will miss h...im very much. Following is a special tribute his son wrote for him. Brad and Suzie were inseparable during their 42 wonderful years together through family business and world travel. Brad’s charisma, loving good nature and natural ability to make us laugh until we cried (often with an impish smile on his face) touched everyone he ever met. A natural leader and organizer, a few of his accomplishments include Kinsmen President, Kinsmen Home Lotto Chairman and Medicine Hat Stampede Board Entertainment Committee member. He also transformed the Elkwater Ski Club from an organization with less than 10 skiers to a racing organization which continues to this day to improve the lives of thousands of youths. A successful career in sales, management, and business ownership allowed Brad and Suzie to live life on their own terms. Born into an adventurous family; travel, beauty, wildlife, hunting, and the draw of the unknown were some of the many driving forces of Brad’s life. From the Arctic Circle to Australia and as much as he could see in between, Brad hiked, paddled, boated, flew, skied, and RV’d. His ultimate joy of motorcycles which he transferred to his entire family led Brad and Suzie from the Pacific to the Atlantic, Canada, US and Mexico. Finally after many years of travel, they were fortunate in finding their slice of paradise, Perula Mexico, where they lived their winter lives. Brad loved sports, Olympics, baseball, and especially football. Though a victorious high school career, playing ironman football, (offense and defense) at LCI, and as a continued supporter of the CFL Alumni, Brad has bled Rider Green. Let’s say it all together. GO RIDERS!! As we feel that bees need flowers, and as conservationists, we ask that those wishing to do so make a donation to Brads favorite charity, Ducks Unlimited, in his name.
