Residents on Trestle & Wilson Roads, 5110-5122 TCH - Nov. 5, 2020 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm the water will be shut off for at least 6 hours to repair the Chlorination Station on Trestle Road. You need to fill some containers with water to drink and fill your bathtub to flush your toilet. Nov. 3 & Nov. 17, 2020 are the only 2 days for the Industrial Run this is for the buildings at Cowichan Tribes and the school, daycare, gym, 200 & 222-601 Cowichan Way, Nov. 10, 2020 will be Recycling day for all communities of Cowichan Tribes. It is an open day and hope that all members will put out their recycling - blue bin, boxes broken down, windows taken out of kleenex... tissue boxes & windows out of envelopes. Important information for Recycling days- Try to make sure that when you put your blue bin out on Wednesdays for recycling days that it is covered so no LEAVES fall into the bin. If there's leaves in the bin the workers will not take your recycling. **edit Thurs. Oct. 22/20 @9:55 am When our driver goes to drop off the recycling they get denied if the loads are contaminated and If you put any liquid soap containers in the recycle blue bin, you must RINSE OUT all container...s; if they are not rinsed out they will be left in the bin. Check Recycle Canada for more information. Once it starts raining (sorry just jinxed everyone) the items will get wet and water may stay in the bottom of the bin. Make sure your blue bin is at the CURBSIDE, not on a hill or on your porch, this may cause your recycling not to be picked up or taken. Thank you for your co-operation.

Monday, October 12, 2020 there will be NO GARBAGE PICKED UP, it's Thanksgiving Day. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 will be GARBAGE DAY, have your garbage out on the CURBSIDE, if it is not on the Curb your garbage will not be picked up. Remember, no ripped garbage bags, no clothes, no fish guts, make sure your bag is TIED, regular garbage bags, NO INDUSTRIAL BAGS.
