Quw'utsun cultural leaders have met with Cowichan Tribes Chief & Council and Administration to discuss pandemic safety. They signed a letter of commitment to follow public health orders and keep Quw'utsun Mustimuhw safe. #cowichancovidsafe Cultural leaders and all members can learn about the recent orders impacting weddings and funerals (max 10 people) here: https://gov.bc.ca/COVID19restrictions Travel is highly discouraged at this time except for essential needs. Essential travel is travelling for work, school, medical appointments, and to obtain groceries, medicines, and other essential items. Attention Cowichan Tribes Members The Public Health Officer has issued a new order suspending all gatherings from November 19 to December 7, 2020. All cultural, religious and social gatherings will have to be postponed and all members are expected to follow the Provincial Wide Restrictions. If you do not have Wi-Fi there is Wi-Fi available outside the Si'em Le'lum gym for you to complete the online form. If you do not have access to an electronic device to complete the online form the Tobacco Tax team will be available inside the dining hall from 9am to 8pm today. Any forms submitted after today will be issued for the January 22, 2021 distribution.
