As part of Sask Parks’ series of safe winter offerings, Skate the Park in Echo Valley is back again and bigger than last year! While in the park, visitors can also check out the cross-country ski trails, rent a pair of snowshoes, try winter geo-caching and take part in the fun Photo Hop challenge. Winter-themed Park Activity Kits are also available for pick-up at the park. The Yumm Truck will be operating Saturdays and Sundays, from January 9 to March 7, offering food services to park visitors. More info on Winter in the Valley is available at saskparks.com: https://www.tourismsaskatchewan.com//provincial-p/winterin At this time, groups must not be larger than 10 people while outdoors, and physical distancing between households must be maintained. Visitors are asked to adhere to the mandatory mask-use policy while indoors, respect the restrictions and rules that are in place and to stay home if not feeling well.

Prevent water damage in your home this winter. Test your water shut-off valve so you can quickly turn off the water supply to your home if a water pipe or met...er breaks. The shut-off valve is located near your water meter in the basement. If the valve isn’t working, you could risk water continuing to run into your home until an outside water valve can be turned off. A little effort goes a long way. Learn more at Regina.ca

Another successful year at the Yard Waste Depot! Regina residents took advantage of our free service by dropping off over 4,245 tonnes of yard waste material ... that’s a 52 per cent increase from 2019! Thanks for turning this valuable material into compost rather than filling up our landfill.

Are you planning on going out for Halloween this weekend? Do it safely. Don’t attend or host large events that exceed gathering size limits under current public... health orders or Reopen Saskatchewan Guidelines. This includes house parties and public events. At this time pub crawls are not recommended - stick to one bar/nightclub/venue. Activities that do not follow public health orders or Reopen Saskatchewan Guidelines have been shown to be possible superspreaders and hosts/businesses can be fined under the Public Health Act. With the forecast being mild throughout most of Saskatchewan this weekend, consider getting together outdoors. Gathering size limits still apply. Here are some links to relevant guidelines: Halloween including Haunted Houses https://www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-halloween Gathering size limits https://www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-gatherings Restaurants and Licensed Establishments Guidelines https://www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-establishments
