We’ve prayed for a Christmas miracle all year, and with restrictions extended to January it doesn’t feel like that prayer brought any fruit. It might be hard, near impossible even, to keep praying, but I believe God has heard our prayer and granted it. 900 people got vaccinated for COVID-19 this month. 900 critical people will be safe from the virus and able to do the life saving work they do. 900 families are significantly safer because that critical person won’t be the vector that infects their whole family. Producing that vaccine was a Herculean accomplishment that I believe was made possible by God working in, with and through many extremely dedicated and talented people. So I thank God for this miracle and for the way it will continue to grow and serve us all, even as I’m disappointed we don’t get the Christmas I’d hoped for.

The FMCiC has been talking a lot more about collaboration and partnership a lot in the last couple years as we've sought to be the church in the 21st century.
