Welcome to my March project for the Global monthly video hop- this month the theme is Home decor. I decided to make a planter box using the brand new Butterfly bouquet suite which is now available to purchase. I used the dies, Designer series paper and the Speciality paper and loved how easy it was to cut out the butterfly images. I am going to put the little planter next to my desk in the craft room to remind me that Spring is on her way. Today is the first day that you can order the gorgeous suite of butterflies. I am loving the 6 x 6" Butterfly Bijou Designer series paper and how one of the dies cuts out all of the butterflies on it. Check out the pretty card made with the butterflies cut from the DSP and the Natural Touch speciality paper as a back ground, it was designed by Mary Detherage in the USA. ... Tomorrow is our Global monthly video collaboration group and we are making Home Decor items - I chose the Butterfly Bijou DSP for mine of course! Check out my teeny peep at it!

Happy March! No clue how it is March already but at least Spring should be coming soon for us. Tomorrow is the first day for customers to order the beautiful new Butterfly bouquet suite - as a demonstrator I could order a little early but this is the first time that I have had chance to play with it. I am going to be showing samples and ideas all of this week! The suite is an early release from the new annual catalogue and so it will be around for a little while. It has st...amps, dies, Designer series paper and a wood grain speciality paper. The stamps and dies can be purchased as a bundle called Butterfly brilliance with 10% off #155821 and the stamp is one large red rubber stamp! One of the dies cuts out the whole stamped image as well as cutting out the same pre-coloured image on the matching Designer series paper. There are also die cuts of the butterflies as individual dies and extra pattern pieces. Stay tuned for examples of cards and 3D projects this week.

I saw a picture of a vintage button tin and it reminded me of the times I spent with my Grandma as a child. Some weekends I spent andevening with my Grandma and she gave me her big tin of buttons to keep me busy. There were buttons for the collars on shirts, military uniforms, from dresses that had been handed down to her daughters, from cardigans long since unpicked and re knitted, and from coats that my Dad would have worn as a youngster . The tin also had buckles for Grand...ads braces and the clips from Grandmas suspenders, hooks and eyes and even some prestuds. I would sit for hours sorting them by colour, size and shape. I would thread some on long pieces of cotton, use them to count with and lay them out on a tin tray to make patterns. I never tired of opening the old tin with its familiar smell and rust spots. It was a part of my childhood that cost nothing at all and would entertain me for hours! How many of you played with a tin of buttons? I still keep my own buttons in an old chocloate tin, I don't have as many as Grandma did but they each tell a story.
