Dear musicians, Thank you so much for a wonderful start to the semester! The progress we’ve made continues to astound me and I’d like to thank everyone for their individual practice as well as their weekly participation. Just a reminder that we will not be meeting over March Break. Our next scheduled rehearsal is April 1 as we continue to prepare for our May 23 concert. As we are all aware, the spread of Covid-19 is a matter of increasing concern to our communities. The situa...tion continues to evolve on a daily basis and I’m sure we can all appreciate that there may well be consequences for our community and its activities in the coming weeks and months. Please know that the orchestra board is continuing to monitor the advice and direction from the Provincial and Federal health authorities as well as the School District. We will communicate any disruption from our planned schedule as things hopefully become clearer over the break. Thank you again for your continued support and participation! What a great start to the New Year and new season tonight! Thanks everyone!!

Happy New Year to you all! Busy getting music together for our first rehearsal on January 15 (7pm - Parkland Middle School). If you play an orchestral instrument, new members are always welcome - we're in particular need of brass (especially horns) and strings. Heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for making tonight's concert such a huge success! A fantastic performance all round that everyone can be proud of, and so wonderful to play for such a magnificent (standing room only!) audience that was beyond all of our expectations. I'm so proud of what our orchestra has achieved in less than a year. The feedback I've been receiving has been so positive! Well deserved congratulations to you all! Wishing you all a wonderful, peaceful Christmas and hopes for a Happy New Year. Looking forward to a brand new season in 2020 - see you all on January 15, Parkland School at 7pm!
