Tears shed here at the Food Bank hearing this year’s amount. Incredible how Cranbrook steps up to the plate when needed, donating time and volunteer hours. So humbled and proud of our community. Thank you Chief Turkey Steve, Little Pluckers, Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce and all who donated!! This fundraiser helps keep us going through the rest of the year when donations are down. This year’s amount will allow us to more consistently buy more and healthier, fresh food and staples for our clients. Working together works.
We love it when creative ideas snowball ... Thank you SIDEKICK for organizing and all who bought tshirts!!
One of our regular volunteers AND one of our most unique local artists ... Check out his page and buy his 2021 calendar @Joel Robison Photography . Thank you Joel!
THANK YOU everyone ... We have enough bags now for a month or so. No more room to store more
Yep, felt like front lines today! So busy. Short handed last minute, so a bit chaotic. So grateful to clients who understand. So grateful to our volunteers, for their commitment, for their understanding that working together works, for their willingness to cover last minute when other volunteers are sick etc ... A special breed for sure, people who volunteer .
Thank you Castle Fuels!!
World Homeless Day BBQ October 10th @ Tamarack Mall Parking Lot 11-3 - clothing and monetary donations accepted!
We have been giving out hardcopies of these applications to all our families and will do so until this Friday, Oct 24th. Let's help Beautiful Moments staff pull this off by donating items :)
Our Board is SO grateful to be serving in Cranbrook. This town is FULL of people who step up to the plate readily whenever a need is known. Covid19 has brought so many challenges to us, but even more good news stories of how many have stepped up to help. Today, two shout outs to: 1. Compassion Services ... The best group of core guys with a seemingly endless army of younger friends also willing to help. Since April they've four times a week been doing our warehouse runs and weekly shops for us!. 2. Scott @ Tim Hortons Cranbrook, who delivered two large boxes of coffee free to us, after we told them we were out. THANK YOU!
We are partnering up with Cranbrook Counselling and offering $18000 worth of free professional counselling to the people in need. Send this link to someone who could benefit by booking an appointment." https://cranbrookcounselling.com
Thank you Len Thompson Fishing Lures for your creative donating idea for Food Banks, and Mountain Man Outdoors for matching the donation!

We just can’t wait ... ...
Yay Cranbrook Social Planning Society City of Cranbrook and Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK)!!
Community FOOD RECOVERY PROGRAMS are the best! Cranbrook Food Recovery rescues food for us from all over town, four days a week. And this year's Cherry Juice from Creston Harvest Share is a big hit with our clients ... delicious!! (The Food Recovery Initiative makes use of cherries that were not cosmetically fit for market and juices them using the mobile juice press. The juice is then distributed to food banks in Creston, Nelson, and Cranbrook). Thanks to all who help make this happen: Creston Valley Food Action Coalition, Fields Forward, Kootenay Mobile Press, and always ... Columbia Basin Trust!
"What a treat. I'm so overwhelmed that someone would do this for us", said one of our regular clients. Paying it Forward ... Pat Stirling and daughter Christine took dozens of our bruised apples and bananas and baked up 100 pies and banana bread for our clients. Huge thanks to you both :)!
Thanks so much to those have brought muffins in! We’re delivering until end of September, so yes, keep them coming folks!
So grateful to Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies and all of you who donated to Cranbrook Stay at Home Gala!
