Exciting announcement #2 for the week!!! Micheal is a local athlete who currently trains out of Don't Blink Boxing Club in Moncton. His coach Dominic Babineau has been working with Micheal for the past couple of years and has laid a solid foundation to his skills and knowledge of the sport. Welcome to the Chargers Micheal!!
Introducing . . . Max Tomines who will be joining the Chargers Boxing Team for the 2021-22 season. Tomines is from Brampton, Ontario where he trained with the Kombat Arts Club. Max will be studying Sociology at Crandall. Max has an impressive resume to-date, including Canadian National Silver Medalist, Ontario Provincial Champion, Ontario Summer Games Champion, Two-time Brampton Cup Champion and Carlton Hope/Lionel Hall Memorial Tournament (Barbados) Champion. Welcome to Chargers Boxing Max!
What a team!!!! We surpassed our fundraising goal for Moncton’s Coldest Night of the Year for homelessness. Thanks to everyone who gave and to all the boxers and coaches who ran. Thanks as well to team captain, Sean Finnigan and his Real Boss, Makayla Somers for organizing this team community service!!

Welcome to our newest Charger, Makayla The Real Boss Somers. Makayla is a transferring psychology major from St. Thomas University in Fredericton and will be competing for Crandall as a novice boxer. Great to have her on the team!!

Welcome to George Stavrou, the newest member of Team Crandall. George is from the Mediterranean Island of Cyprus. In his amateur career, he has been the Junior & Youth National Champion at 52kg and the Elite National Champion at both 57kg and 60kg. He is currently a member of the Cyprian National Team. If all goes well with Canadian Immigration, George will be on the ground in Moncton in January 2021. Welcome to the team George!!

We are thrilled to announce that Maximus (Max) Tomines (Brampton, ON) has been accepted to Crandall University and will be joining the Chargers Boxing team in September 2021. Competing in the 60kg weight class, Max's accomplishments in the sport include being a Canadian National Silver Medalist, Ontario Provincial Champion, Ontario Summer Games Champion and a two-time Brampton Cup Champion. We are excited for the depth of competitive talent that is deepening at Crandall!
Marvik Alvarado had an exhibition match on the card this evening and showed the audience his true skill and mastery in the ring!! Way to go Marvik...we are posing as a team here!! Great event to come back at COVID!!

It is official. Three Crandall University Chargers Boxers will be crossing the border to Nova Scotia to compete in one of the first amateur boxing events in Canada since the start of the pandemic. It is an understatement to say that these guys are ready!!! All the best to Marvik, Sean and Jacob on Saturday, October 3 up in Sydney, Nova Scotia!
