Well this weekend was another great one! Shot a 25M FITA at Lakeland Archers beautiful new facility in Lac La Biche Saturday and Sunday, both days breaking and ...setting records. Saturday I shot 552 in my normal division as a precub and broke the previous national and provincial record of 439. Sunday was a bit more relaxed as I shot up into cub and set the new provincial and Canadian record at 539 (which I will have 3 more years to beat and bring that mark higher) brings the total number of records up to 12 now (6 national and 6 provincial). Summer Program 2018 - Drop in Class Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm For the summer of 2018, Capital Region Archery Club is offering a public program to introduce people to archery. All equipment and instruction is provided for the classes. On Monday evenings from July 9th until August 27th (except the August 6th long weekend), we will offer a drop in class where anyone ages 10 years and up can come out to try archery. Class fee is $10 per visit. Class time is 7pm 8:30pm, with reg...istration beginning at 6pm. Maximum class size is 20 persons. For more information please visit http://www.crarchery.ca/calendar

LEAGUE NIGHT TONIGHT!!! Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Runs until the of April.... How it works On all league nights we will get together and shoot a 300 scored round. The leader board will rank everyone on what percentage of their national record. At the end of the season all those who have participated in at least three league nights will be eligible for one of three most improved awards at the end of the season. There will also be awards for the three archers with the highest average percentage will also receive an award at the end of the season. To shoot it's ten dollars per non-member and five dollars per member.

On December 30th CRAC is hosting a Christmas Adult Fun Shoot from 8:30pm-10:30pm for members 18 year and over Please feel free to bring a snack

CRAC's **Tentative FITA 600 18M Event Dates: November 29 December 27 January 31... February 28 March 27 April 24 Note: We're planning to host on the last Sunday of each month for the 2015/2016 season, and as usual the start time will be 9am. The Clubs next casino is scheduled for Friday, October 2nd, 2015 and Saturday, October 3, 2015. We are putting out a call for volunteers. The funds go to pay for the clubs rent, utilities and various resources needed to run our programs. Without sufficient volunteer participation, we will lose the Casino and the future of CRAC would be in peril. We will need approximately 40 volunteers to cover the following positions: General Manager (2)... Bankers (2) Cashiers (4) Chip Runners (4) Count Room Supervisor (1) Volunteers do not necessarily need to be club members. You can also have some of your friends help us out if they are available. Meals are provided free of charge to volunteers during their shifts. Your help to make this casino a success is greatly appreciated. Poker Night is tonight! 7-9pm adult only event. Come down to the club and play some cards or get some practice in with new friends.

Parents, if you have an archer participating in the WAF 600 this Sunday, January 25th, please consider volunteering to do timing (it's very easy to do). We need one volunteer to do the full event or 2 volunteers who can switch during the break. Registration and practice begins at 9am with scoring/judging beginning at 10am.

Poker Night at Capital Region Archery Club is coming up on Saturday, January 24th 7:00pm - 9:00pm. This is an 18+ event. Archery and poker combined into an evening of good times.

CRAC welcomes all Junior members (17 and under) and their families to the Christmas Jr Fun Shoot, Saturday December 20, 2014, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Wrap yourself in Christmas colours and take part in the fun, prizes and special games. Enter the search for ELFs, enjoy cookie decorating and hot chocolate. Please bring cookies and snacks to share.

'Tis the season to be getting some extra practice! Come in on Sunday, December 21st for our last FITA of 2014. Practice begins at 9am. First scored arrow at 10am. Registration at the door is $20/archer.

The range will be CLOSED on Saturday from 2pm - 10pm for a SPECIAL EVENT (Membership Potluck).
