We thought this was an inspiring video about doing your home workouts. It is about a German grandfather and his rusty kettlebell fitness regimen. The video is a commercial for the Dutch mail-order pharmacy Doc Morris. The video starts with the German Grandfather waking up early in the morning to an alarm and deciding to dust off an old kettlebell in his workshop to get in shape. He starts by barely being able to drag it around outside as the neighbors gawk and give him s...keptical looks. Soon he's walking every day in a track suit and lifting the kettlebell while looking at an unseen photo for inspiration. You will have to watch the video for the great ending :-) "So that you can take care of what really matters in life," is written in German at the end of the commercial. :-)

With Thanksgiving coming up we are very thankful for the Kitchener Rowing Club’s equipment donations to the University of Waterloo Rowing Club. They donated a lot of great equipment. Here is an interesting article on the bunker they rowed out of. https://www.cbc.ca//kitchener-nuclear-bunker-future-unclea

Here is a note from Ontario Adventure Rowing about a very fun event they are holding: Every year, we look forward to closing out the season with the 'Icicle Chase,' a half-marathon row held in Quinte. This rowing season, like most other aspects of our lives in 2020, has not been the norm. But that doesn't mean we can't send it out with a virtual take on our annual Icicle Chase! Join us over the weekend of Oct. 18-19 in the challenge of taking on 21 kilometres. This year...'s challenge will be open to on-water rowers, as well as those using indoor rowing machines, and we're also offering a 10K option! Registration is just $15 for members of OAR affiliated clubs, or $20 for non-OAR affiliated clubs. You'll get some fun swag, a certificate of completion and a call out on our results page for registering! All of the details can be found on our event website: https://www.iciclechase.com/
