Hi everyone! I have been neglectful adding a post for a while now so thought I would let you know I am still out here! Finished up a couple of work projects recently while being mindful of COVID restrictions. Fingers crossed that 2021 brings with it better times for everyone globally. This virus has hopefully caused us all to reflect on what is important in life and not to ever take anything for granted. We are now heading into the more festive season and many of you are pe...rhaps not able to spend time with family and friends as you typically would. Please remember there are other means available to still remain connected albeit less than ideal. With that thought I will end off by saying how much I have appreciated all of you, not only this past year, but for everyone who have and continue to support me and my business. I truly feel blessed! I will check back in soon!

Hi everyone. Crazy times! Hope everyone is making the best of the situation in ways that matter to them, their families, and everyone beyond their closed doors. I though I would share what happens when you tell your partner to "go find something to do"! I have been practicing what I preach and have been reorganizing and purging. I will save what I no longer need for the day when the goodwill stores reopen. OH...and it pays off! as I found $70.00 in 2 separate envelops. A nice surprise. Take care of yourself and each other.

Welcome to 2020! We just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in Mexico and hear we (luckily) bypassed some serious snow and cold weather! I am re-energized now and ready to see what this new year will bring. Have a couple of my own purging and early spring cleaning projects lined up.. Often I come across interesting articles that address the need to reduce the volume of stuff we all seem to accumulate. Jason Notte wrote a really good checklist of where to focus particularly... for those retiring. I could easily expand on each of these areas but will identify the majority as follows. Debt Clothes Storage unit Exercise equipment Kitchen gadgets 2nd vehicle Kids memorabilia Excess furniture Unnecessary files and paperwork Holiday décor Collections Knick knacks China and silverware Outdated electronics Magazines and old games The internet is a great place to look for other resources to guide you. Everyone has their favorite season of the year and I have to admit Fall is my least one with the exception of Thanksgiving spent with family and friends, and of course Halloween! Anyone who knows me can attest to that! I would love to have a spooky room decorated all year round using my many themed decorations collected over the years. Fall can also be a time of opportunity when clothes are switched over, cushions stowed, and outdoor furniture and flower boxes packed away.... At this time perhaps examine what you are planning on storing and ask if you really need it or has it served its purpose. Seasonal switch-overs can also create a dominoes affect in that you may now have to re-organize storage spots to make room. What I love about working with people is it constantly provides a learning environment. Having just completed a rather complex move, a few ideas come to mind to help you prepare for your downsizing or move. First it is important to recognize that no matter how organized you feel you are, there is always room for improvement. This will save you time, money and sanity in the end. The moment you consider any change, start your decluttering immediately. Be realistic about all... aspects of your current and future lifestyle. Ask if you really need all those clothes, footwear, books, etc., and all those treasures tucked away in closets, drawers, and other spaces. Typically your new home will not have the storage space that you currently have. Discard or donate all of your purged possessions. If you feel overwhelmed by moving seek help even if it means finding a few good move checklists to guide you. There are move professionals (transition specialists) who will help you navigate through services and timelines. If you are willing to engage in a specialist take their advice! If they say you won’t be needing that or it won’t fit..trust them!!!
