I’m not with #createasmilestamps but this is not isolated just to them I have seen knockoffs of #stampinup #lavinastamps #housemousedesigns and others too! I agree it’s a crime and ask for the love of art people please repost this. Otherwise those designs might someday not exist because original designers are put... out of work. . My friend @biiirka just wrote a great statement about Chinese copycats and even worse their supporters on her blog. (German) ....,,,, I’d like to encourage all of you to display this image on your social media. Show the world, that you are a part of this supportive encouraging community. A short note to those who think we’re making a lot of money by selling our products way too expensive 1) Believe it or not our input price is much higher than the final price for the Chinese knock offs. Why? Well they’re high quality, people producing them get fair wage, there’s health insurance and everything they DESERVE for their hard work. 2) I work hard to design those stamps a lot of thought, fine tuning, discussing details etc is involved to get the best design ready for you. 3) Having a job I enjoy doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get paid for my work just as you (hopefully) get paid for yours. . 4)Do you know I still work part-time because this company does not make me rich ? Most of the income is spent creating and ordering new product. . 5) not having a lot of money doesn’t make stealing right. Just because you pay a tiny amount to clear your conscience doesn’t mean you’re not stealing. You still are. 6)even if you find 100 (mostly stupid and you know that) arguments for buying cheap knockoffs, defending yourself doesn’t mean you’re right. Cause sorry you’re not. Let me get this straight I’m not talking about those who bought knockoffs by accident because they didn’t know better, are new to stamping whatever. I’m talking about those who knew even if they sometimes say they didn't. Thank you for reading all this text
