We are hoping to open up for tours in the near future!

Took a picture of Saturn and Jupiter tonight through our telescope. Couldn't quite get the rings of Saturn, but you can clearly see the 4 Galileon moons strung across like Christmas lights. The two planets will appear to touch each other (even though they are millions of kilometers apart) Was it the Christmas star the Wisemen saw? MERRY CHRISTMAS. Moon excavation exhibit under construction. The Creation Discovery Centre is offering small group/family tours this Wednesday, December 9. Message us if interested. Cost is free. All participants are required to wear masks.We are located at Lakewood Community Church, Brooks Alberta.

Which is a picture of earthrise from Apollo 8 and which is a mural at the Creation Discovery Centre?

VIRTUAL STAR PARTY: Because we did not have our annual Star Party this year we thought we would share some pictures we took tonight using a phone camera through the lens of our large 12" mirror reflector telescope. The top picture is of Jupiter and the 4 large moons (You could see the different coloured bands of Jupiter but unfortunately the camera did not pick it up). And 2 pictures of Saturn, one is enlarged. Both Saturn and Jupiter can be seen throughout the evening in the south. Mars is coming up in the east later in the evening. Hoping to get a picture of it tomorrow night.
