Isaiah Prophesies of the Savior Isaiah was a prophet who lived in Jerusalem about 700 years before the birth of the Savior. He wrote many things about important events that had not yet taken place. Isaiah 7:14 ... Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
