Stay OR Wait - I like to teach this behaviour in exciting situations almost from the beginning. Here my dogs (including 5 month old Lift) are staying on my little deck until I release them onto their favourite walk Wait training begins at Creative Canine with luring puppies/dogs onto very low things (think fallen log), morphs into a game on walks get up on it and continues to more advanced stays with excitement built in. The reward here is the HUGE burst of excitement of running together

I love to teach retrieve skills using several different strategies - the classic two toy game a d many variations of toy on a rope are favourites of mine. I also teach come to hand or Pick it up. Here’s Lift (5 months) really putting together the ideas behind Pick it Up - drop the object into my hand in exchange for kibble this one can be a bit tricky to start but it yields super slick results

Lift (21 weeks old) working on "back up" onto my computer in a short training session during a break at school. Solid Foundation training creates happy focued workers :) Short training sessions can happen anywhere/anytime without any special equipment
