Fun and Fabulous Fridays Rainbow Baking Soda Science Experiment 2-ounce paper cups (or any small containers you can find)... Baking soda Vinegar Food coloring Directions to make your rainbow baking soda science experiment STEP 1: Gather your supplies Before you get started, gather up all the supplies you need for this rainbow science experiment. The kids will be so excited once you get started that you will want to have everything to hand! STEP 2: Prepare paper cups Fill each paper cup 3/4 of the way full with baking soda. Be sure to have enough for each color you want to use! TIP: Before starting I would advise lining a tray with parchment paper to do this experiment on to minimize the mess! STEP 3: Add food coloring Next, add a few drops of food coloring in each cup. you will need to add a different color to each cup to create a rainbow effect. Mix each color into the baking soda well until the color has been well distributed as shown below and then line the cups up on your tray covered with parchment paper. STEP 4: Add vinegar Now for the fun part! Your baking soda science experiment is now set up and ready to go ! Pour vinegar into each cup and watch the colors erupt. The baking soda and vinegar will react as they come into contact to create a fizzy rainbow eruption! Courtesy of: https://www.messylittlemonster.com/
Wednesday Challenge! Take your artists outside to paint.
Tuesday Programming EDIBLE PAINT RECIPE RAINBOW BREAD Supplies To Make This Fun Edible Paint Recipe... (This post contains US and UK affiliate links.) Granulated Sugar Gel Food Coloring Plastic Bowls Brushes White Bread The aim is to make the paint as thick and sugary as you can so it doesn’t make the bread all soggy. Starting point is to put a tablespoon of granulated sugar, a squirt of food coloring and a tablespoon of hot water into a bowl and stir. (The hotter the water, the quicker the sugar will dissolve The result should be a syrupy, colorful and sweet edible paint! If you find your sugar hasn’t completely dissolved you’ve probably reached the saturation point for the amount of water you have. Simply add a few more drops of warm water, stir again and it should solve the problem. If your paint is too watery then add some more sugar until the water can’t dissolve any more. Once the children had finished painting their rainbow bread they can eat it right away or you could always toast your rainbow bread too. Courtesy of: https://kidscraftroom.com/

Tuesday Programming Ideas PAINT WITH BUBBLES To begin, you will need the following supplies:... small plastic containers to hold the paint mixture tempera paint in a variety of colors liquid dish soap water straws a push pin small pieces of thick paper (construction, card stock, watercolor paper). To make paint solution, add paint to the bottom of a plastic container. Then add a squirt of dish soap and fill the container with a couple of inches of water. You might have to play a little bit to get the best ratio of paint to water to soap. The solution should be thin enough so that when the children blow bubbles into the liquid, the bubbles expand over the top of the container. The children can lightly press a small piece of paper over the bubbles. This leaves an interesting print on the paper. Add a variety of colors of bubbles to one piece of paper. Children will enjoy looking at how the colors mix together on the paper. Courtesy of: https://earlylearningideas.com/

Fun and Fabulous Friday LEAF SENSORY BAGS Supplies To Make Leaf Sensory Bags Sealable Bags Cooking Oil... Liquid Water Colours Leaves Glitter Sequins and Spangles Once youve chosen your leaves to go inside the sensory bag youll need to make sure your bag is a strong one, with no leaks and that you can seal it. The last thing you want is for it to split or drip while youre making it or worse still while its being played with! Pour some cooking oil into the zipper bag and add your leaves. Make up three different colors red, green and yellow. Gently pour the colored water in to the oil in stops and starts. The water wont mix with the oil so you get a lovely globule effect of different colored water sitting on top of the oil. Then pop in any other bits of sensory interest you like such as glitter, sequins and spangles. Lastly seal the bag expelling any air as you go. If you leave large pockets of air in then it will stop the contents moving around inside easily and it might pop! You might want to double seal the bag with sticky tape to be sure it wont leak
Todays challenge is to capture nature in clay. Use clay, or a similar medium, to imprint what your children find on the playground or on a walk. Natural clay, when rolled out about 3mm thick will dry overnight and be ready to paint. Remember to share you pictures below!
Tuesday Programming Ideas Rainbow Shaving Cream Marbled Art Paint in rainbow colours (washable tempera)... Shallow pan (a 9 x 13 baking pan works) Watercolour paper Scraper (or you can cut a piece of your watercolour paper to scrape if you dont have one) Shaving cream (foamy not the gel kind) Step 1. Fill your pan with shaving cream. Add paint in a rainbow formation. Step 2. Trim your watercolour paper to fit inside the pan if necessary. Lay it down flat on top of your rainbow, pressing firmly but gently on all sides. Step 3. Remove your paper and scrape off the excess shaving cream and paint. It helps to lay down butcher paper on a table prior to this step as it gets messy. Whats amazing is the first print will actually form a rainbow pattern! Step 4. You can then continue adding paper for the next few prints to make marbled rainbow colour swirls. Lay down your paper to dry and then add heavy objects on top to flatten the paper down as it will curl up. Once youre done, let the kids swirl their hands through the shaving cream for an awesome sensory activity.

Welcome to Super Saturday Affirmations! When repeated regularly, affirmations can create something wonderful in your life, or eliminate something negative. Choose the ones that resonate with you. Repeat them often, and with enthusiasm!
Fun and Fabulous Fridays QuietCritters live in a soundproof jar & only come out when its quiet. Loud noises hurt their ears, but whispering is ok (or however you want to work it). They dont mind being patted but they get scared if, anyone picks them up or tries to play with them. The Critters get scared easily, if they continue to be loud they go back into their jar to hide! Quiet Critters are SUPER easy to make! I used a hot glue gun to attach the googly eyes & felt feet to the craft pom poms. I cut the felt into love heart shapes to make feet. You could also use craft foam for the feet. If you can find the precut heart shapes that will make it even easier.
