I don't know what this scorpion looking insect is, but its either getting ready to do battle or grooming itself for a date. Lol UPDATE: American Pelecinid The Pelecinid Wasp make look like a small alien and evoke anxiety on sight, but it is actually a useful parasite that naturally controls beetle numbers. The female uses her long stinger to deposit her eggs into the larvae of June bugs (grubs). This is a very beneficial insect indeed. And it doesn't sting humans. ... Gypsy moth laying egg sacs all over this poor maple tree. Hoping that the city of Barrie can do something about this before they kill all the trees. Apparently the female moth cannot fly. Only the males can.

Friday's flowers. Everything is coming along nicely. Planters are starting to fill out and I like the colour combination. This year we popped in some pansies and they are really adding some punch.
