Another sweet little paper art commission (Dulces Sueños means Sweet dreams in spanish) I have loved collaborating with folks on my commission list in coming up with meaningful and heartwarming imagery for them or the loved ones they are gifting these pieces to. A real treat!

I have been hibernating creating some holiday commissions and paper art for the CG shop. Here's a little sneak peak! In the meantime, I have two commission slots open so if you have a loved one who would be delighted to have an original paper art piece by yours truly then get in touch! Cost: A 5" by 7" original paper cut art piece costs $60 CAD plus shipping

Some days the colours of our creativity want to hibernate inside. Other days they want to reach out and share. Accepting both states of being is a part of the creative journey. #truecolors #creativeliving #hibernate #sharing #acceptance

Connecting with those who let their curiosity lead them to my picnic blanket full of colourful crafts at Parkdale Park (wearing masks and socially distanced of course) was a special experience. Most of Sunday was spent creating with my new creative comrade! She made the interactive wave sculpture even more interactive by first adding a surfer, and then engineering a way to allow her surfer to glide. We also made a crafty campfire and had ourselves a mushroom cookout! Curiosi...ty is a thing of deep and resounding beauty, and furthermore, kids creativity led by their curiosity, is a journey with unlimited possibilities. This is why I believe cultivating curiosity and creativity is so very important. Oftentimes the arts are undervalued in comparison to subjects like math, science, computers, etc. However, no math formula, scientific study or tech innovation, ever began without curiosity and creativity first leading the way - and theiren lies the importance of cultivating creativity. The arts is just another way of engaging with complex thought and may seem unstructured or "silly" at first, but through the creative process, blooms into unlimited innovations and new learning. and sometimes you even get to say "wheeeeee" along the way :)
