DATE: April 25-26, 2020 (1 day indoors and 1 day outdoors) TIME: 8am-5pm ** 100% attendance is required LOCATION: Day 1 - (Indoors) Masonic Temple Downtown Oakville.... Day 2 - (Outdoors) Mt Nemo Scout Camp FEE: Special Scout Fee: $220 per person (based on min of 10 participants) inclusive of taxes Regular Fee: $250 per person plus taxes DEADLINE: March 27, 2020 NOTE: Prepayment is required to secure a spot. Minimum of 10 students required for the course ABOUT THE RED CROSS WILDERNESS AND REMOTE FIRST AID COURSE Course Overview This course prepares individuals to provide care to an injured person for up to 24 hours & focuses on people who: Take day trips into the wilderness or enjoy spending time in remote locations Travel in areas where help is hours away Recreate within wilderness and remote areas for leisure Wilderness First Aid scenario It covers most of the components of Standard First Aid as well as many additional topics related to wilderness and remote areas. NOTE: This advanced first aid course can also be used as a Standard First Aid equivalent certificate to meet WSIB workplace requirements.
