Through their proposed changes to the Conservation Authorities Act, the Province wants to be able to bypass our scientific permitting process that keeps people and property safe from flooding. To our supporters - please tell your MPP that #ConservationMatters: https://ontarionature.good.do/conservationauthorities/send/

The wildlife sightings continue at the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area! Caught on camera by one of our restoration staff, two minks are fighting in the newly constructed channel (Serson Creek extension)! Minks are territorial predators and usually stake out at riverside and/or creekside in spring and summer where they hunt aquatic animals. These two minks may be males fighting over den territory or fighting over food such as fish, frogs or voles/mice. #CVCFieldFind
