Dear Creme supporters, . It is with great excitement, and a good helping of sadness, that I share this news - as of February 1st, Creme Cheese Shop will belong to Terry Wright. . This may come as a great shock to many, as I openly boast about how much I love my Shop and the loyal customers who have supported it for nearly 6 years. Well, all this remains true. I promise to explain the reasoning behind the sale in more depth, but that will have to wait for a separate post on m...y personal social accounts (look for that in a few days). Rest assured that the transfer of ownership is a very positive thing, and was not brought on by COVID or dwindling sales or lack of support or . . . In fact, 2020 was our best year yet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for shopping local and trusting that we were taking care to keep you safe. I get so emotional when I think about my wonderful customers and fellow business owners who lift each other up. . So without further ado, please welcome Terry as the newest business owner in Kimberley’s Platzl! You most likely recognize her face because it has been behind the Creme counters for over two years. I love that Terry is the person to adopt my business baby - I don’t think I could let anyone else take over. Terry understands the business and knows the customers. She is passionate about all that Creme stands for - community, connection, quality, and of course delicious homemade food! Though she is keeping the business as it is, I am excited to see what changes and improvements her ownership brings. It’s always exciting to see someone breath new light and energy into a business. . The decision to sell was not an easy one, but made easier knowing that I have someone who I respect and trust to take the reigns. I know Terry will take care of all you when you shop or dine at Creme next. . I’ll finish by saying that tomorrow (Saturday January 30th) will be my last day as the unofficial cheese lady in Kimberley.
