We keep getting asked to post some pictures of our clinic cat Roswell... so here is our handsome man in all his glory!!! His new thing is to sit at the top of the scratching post, and watch everyone work!! He also gets cookies hand delivered to him up there.... how much better can life get?!?!?

We wanted to apologize that none of our cute clinic cats have made their Facebook appearances lately.... we have been having some technical difficulties with our Facebook account. But Gerdie wanted to say a big hello to everyone on this Tuesday afternoon!!

Meet Koda!!! This beautiful Girl just turned 7, so of course her mom had to throw her a party!! You look fabulous in your party hat pretty lady!

Meet Monk and Goose!! These 2 brothers were named after their owners 2 favourite wineries.... Grey Monk and Wild Goose!! We think the originality is awesome!! And she completed this story by getting them each a catnip wine bottle toy to play with. We couldn’t not share, as this gave us all a good chuckle!!

Meet our September Pet of the Month.... Hazel!! Hazel is a four and a half month old Saint Bernard puppy, and as you can see she is going to be BIG!! This lovely girl has had her fair share of health problems so far in her very short life. This has included some eye issues called Entropion (this is where her eyelashes fold inwards towards her eye, causing her eyelashes to constantly irritate her eyes) as well as having too much skin around her vulva, (causing her to have u...rinary issues), requiring surgeries to fix both her eyes and her hind end. But nothing ever phases this sweet girl!! She meets each challenge with tail wags, all the while giving everyone kisses! This precious girl certainly made her way into the right home!! Her family adores her, and how could you not with that face?!? We cannot wait until all of this is behind you sweet girl, but until then we love seeing both you and your family!! It is so fun to watch them grow up

WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!!! We would like to welcome Dr. Emilie Laurin to the Crescent Falls Veterinary team!!! Dr. Laurin comes to us with many years of experience, in both research and Veterinary practise. She originally graduated from Vet school in 2006. Dr. Laurin worked for many years in both Newfoundland and P.E.I. She has recently moved back to the Okanagan, after spending many years here when she was growing up with her family. ... We could not be more excited to welcome you back to the Okanagan, and officially into the Crescent Falls family!! (We would like to reassure everyone that both Dr. Schimpl and Dr. Ringness have not gone anywhere, and are both still available for surgeries and appointments). Next time you are in the clinic, make sure you say hello to Dr. Laurin!!!

2 of our clinic cats, Roswell and Gerdie, have become best friends and sleep together EVERY day!! We figure Roswell is showing Gerdie how to be a 'Big Cat"

Our assistant, Kalea, brought in her bunny today for a visit and the clinic cats were really not too sure about this new creature!! LOL Reece the bunny is roughly 5 years old, and being that she is so used to being around other animals she had no issues at the clinic today! The clinic cats, however, thought she was probably an alien!! But they were very good with her, just curious. It was very sweet! Dr. Schimpl's dog, Pearl, figured she should play with the bunny... (We of course didn't let that happen!).

We will be CLOSED Saturday August 1st through Monday August 3rd for the Civic Holiday. We will be open for regular business hours on Tuesday August 4th from 8:00am-5:00pm. We hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend!

We had the CUTEST kitten come in the CUTEST kennel last week!! Apparently his mom bought this for him on Amazon, and we couldn't resist sharing!

Meet our July 'Pet of the Month" NIBS!!! How adorable is this chocolate colored feline?!? Nibs was adopted from here, through the Vernon and District Animal Care Society, when she was just 8 weeks old. She made her way into the most LOVING home, and her family absolutely ADORES her!! She came in this week for a cat shave, and we aren't sure she looks so happy in her 'after' picture LOL. She did wake up from her sedation giving us head boops though, so at least she didn't seem to mind coming for a visit! It isn't very often that we see a cat of this color, or with the most fabulous ear tufts we have ever seen!! And oh that face....we just want to squish you!! Thank you for the visit Nibs!! It was great to see you, and we are so glad that you found so much happiness in your forever home

PJ wanted to wish everyone a very happy Friday!!

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT This is the case of Percy and the string!!! Percy came in last week really not feeling like himself. He was lethargic and vomiting A LOT!! You can see in the first photo he is looking all hunched and uncomfortable. We took some radiographs and it was discovered that he had what looked liked bunched intestines, meaning he probably ate something he shouldn't have!! So into surgery we went!!... As you can see he ate a VERY long string..perhaps a shoestring or hoody string. We are happy to report that Dr.Ringness was able to remove it successfully, before it was able to cause any real harm or permanent damage. The last photo is of Percy waking up from surgery. This is a good reminder that cats can be silly, and can eat just about anything! And we've seen it all....hair elastics, sewing string and even a sewing needle. But we are happy to report that Percy is back to feeling like himself. YAY!! Now just don't eat anything else you shouldn't, you silly boy!!

We just wanted to let everyone know we will be closed for the Canada Day holiday tomorrow. We will be open again for regular business hours on Thursday July.2nd from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. HAPPY CANADA DAY!!
