SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED! Crews have been out all night clearing school sidewalks and parking lots, now a number of our schools are without power. Due to power failures across the city, there will be no school for MHPSD students and school staff on Monday November 9, 2020.

Due to power failures, there will be no school for MHPSD students and school staff on Monday November 9, 2020. November 8, 2020 9:20 p.m. UPDATE: Buses are canceled for tomorrow, November 9, 2020. We have just been informed by Southland Transportation that they will no longer be able to provide school bus transportation for students tomorrow because the buses in their yard are being blocked in by snowdrifts. We recognize and respect that some families will choose to keep their children home from school during inclement weather. If you decide to keep your kids home please inform the school of their absence. Our schools will remain open to receive students of families who are able to get them there safely. We are monitoring the weather forecast and understand that the snow is expected to subside overnight. Please check this post and our website for updates tomorrow morning in case circumstances change.
