Thanks to all the players for another well played tournament. Both the Competitive and Recreational Division had close, competitive games. In the Competitive Division, Bandits went undefeated to win their first Crescent Classic Championship. They defeated Lakriwalla who earlier beat Mighty Pucks to get to the final. Bandits players were named Top Scorer - Yusuf Ahmed and Top Goaltender - Zahid Khan. In the Recreational Division, Fit4Less Warriors won their 2nd Championship, l...ed by goaltender Shezad "Fishy" Shaikh, who was named Top Goaltender. Warriors received a bye to the final, edging Abu Ghuntos on fewest goals allowed. Abu Ghuntos had to defeat The Rookies to set up the final agianst their friends and rivals. Musa Bhoola of AG earned Top Scorer Award. Thanks to all the skaters that came out to skate and enjoy a meal while watching the playoffs. InshaAllah, we are planning to hold the next Crescent Classic on the Easter Long Weekend, Friday, April 14 from 4pm to 10pm. We are hoping to run two divisions: Competitive and Recreational. Competitive Division is open to all skill levels.... Recreational Division is intended for those players within the first few years of their adult hockey experience. Crescent, our title sponsor, provided the restaurant with halal burgers and wings - many of our players and guests enjoyed a meal while watching the action on the ice below. Special thanks to CanLan Ice Sports Oshawa for allowing us to have a free skate for the community during the break in play. Congrats to Fit4Life Warriors on winning the "B" Championship 2-1 over The Mighty Pucks. Unfortunately, the "A" Champ...ionship was marred by penalties and unsportsmanlike conduct. Monks won 5-4 over ML. Due to these actions, team and individual participation in the next tournament will be reviewed shortly. InshaAllah we are looking forward to holding another tournament in April.

Alhamdolillah, we have received quite a bit of interest in the tournament. As a result, we only have a couple spots left. Contact us ASAP to reserve your team's spot. The Crescent Classic 4-on-4 Ice Hockey Tournament Description: This 1st biannual tournament will allow Muslim ice hockey players to get a taste of fun, competitive play. It will feature a modified version of the rules, for 4-on-4 hockey.... Date, Time and Location Saturday, December 24th. 2:00 to 7:30 PM. Canlan Ice Sports Oshawa. Cost $330 including HST + $100 Jersey Deposit, or $30 including HST + $10 jersey deposit per player for individual registrations, only if available Format 8 Teams will play a minimum of 4 games, in a combination of round robin and playoff games. Round robin will consist of 1 OPEN division or 2 pools with teams playing 3 opponents. After the round robin, team will be seeded 1 to 8. Teams 1 to 4 will play for the A Championship. Teams 5-8 will play for the B Championship. Prizes To be determined Specifics Each game will occupy approximately a 25 minute ice block. Games will be played using the "continuous flow" philosophy with no face-offs. Breaks between games will be kept to a minimum where scheduling allows, but could be up to 40 minutes. In some cases, back to back games may be used. Teams must be prepared to start as early as 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 24th. Playoff games will be completed by Saturday night. The maximum roster size is 10 skaters plus a goaltender. All Players on each team will be provided jerseys for the duration of the tournament No player may participate for more than one team in the tournament.Goalies may be exempted from this rule in case of injury. Register as a full team or as an individual (Individual players will be notified as soon as enough players have registered to confirm a team entry into the tournament. A full refund will be issued to any player who is not successfully placed on a team) Halal food will be available in the restaurant

Inshallah, we are planning a 4 on 4 Muslim Ice Hockey Tournament on December 24th in Oshawa. We are looking for 8 teams of 10 skaters and 1 goalie. Individual registration may be available. As this intended to be a FUN tournament, we are encouraging players of all skill levels to participate. Jerseys will be provided for each team to use during the tournament. Halal food will be served in the restaurant.... We are also hoping to receive sponsorship from GTA businesses to offset some of the cost. Please see contact information below for more details.
