Brethren and Friends Remembrance Day is a very special and important day for all of us. This year we are having difficulty getting together to pay tribute. Please join Creston Lodge on Wednesday evening for a special Remembrance Day zoom meeting. Details can be found below and note the specific time for your time zone. This meeting is open to all so feel free to invite your special lady, brethren or friends. During this meeting there will be a presentation on the members of C...reston Lodge that served in the South African War and WW1. There are 34 members who will be acknowledged. For those who have access to the History Channel, they have special programming all day Wednesday. I would like to draw your attention to Searching for Vimy’s Lost Soldiers. (2pm MST/1PM PST) This program addresses the search for a mass grave of 44 members of the 16th Battalion. This mass grave has a direct link to Creston in 2 ways. Sgt Irwin Simmons, a resident of West Creston and my Great Uncle, Pte Hazen Gibbons are in that mass grave. Another very interesting fact is that 4 of the 6 of Sgt Simmons father’s pall bearers were members of Creston Lodge. Hope to see you all on Wednesday and wear a poppy.
