CRIS Adaptive Adventures 18.11.2020

We all love the outdoors and what it has to offer for our physical, mental, and emotional health. With the new restrictions in place we want to emphasize that we are still offering safe, accessible outdoor recreation activities, albeit in a reduced capacity. Throughout this year we have followed rigid COVID protocols which have put safety first for both clients and volunteers. We are continuing to do so to be able to provide outdoor opportunities for everyone and will continue to monitor and re-evaluate the situation as needed. If you are interested in a trip, but have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us and we will work to provide our services in a way which with you are comfortable. Email: [email protected] or call 250-979-3941

"Our journey through life is filled with potholes, detours and roadblocks. How you get through those obstacles is what builds strength and character." At CRIS we work to break down barriers and want to empower you to be able to overcome any obstacle that you may face. #breakingdownbarriers #accesibleoutdoors #adaptivesport

Another great interpretive hike with Regional District of Central Okanagan in sntsk'il'nten (Black Mountain) regional park this morning. Check out our schedule at http://adaptiveadventures.ca/aa-activities/ to see when other RDCO partner hikes are available. They're a great outdoor learning experience where you will learn many things about the local environment which we are so lucky to call home!

Night swims, eating ice cream while doing a lake dip, and snowy hawaiian vacations - we've had some great challenge entries this week! If you register for your own challenge or donate before Sunday you will be entered to win a prize package from Starbucks. Then it's your turn find a fun a creative way to 'prove you're a polar bear' and challenge your friends to donate and do the same! www.trellis.org/crispolarbearchallenge #crispolarbearchallenge #freezinforareason #truenorthchampion #breakingdownbarriers

As cases are rising it is important to remember to stay safe and follow COVID protocols. An easy way to let people know what your bubble is and where your comfort level is at, is by wearing one of PRIME's colour coded social distancing bands. They are still selling these bands, with all proceeds supporting CRIS. If you are interested in getting some for yourself you can contact us to arrange! Thank you PRIME for your ongoing support!
