The Candlelight Festival definitely looked different this year, but one thing you can count on is big art from Critical Mass! Visit Lent Lane over the winter break to experience Colour Me, Port Hope: a big, bountiful installation made to be interacted with. . Free postcards of the 2 #PortHope landscapes are also available. Take one (or a few), colour it, and send it to someone you haven’t been able to see in a while! Take a selfie in front of the Monkey Mountain or Sculthorp...e Marsh banners and tag us @criticalmassart. . About the artist: Madeleine Sinnott is a local emerging artist. She recently graduated from NSCAD University with a degree in Textile Design and a minor in Illustration. Sinnott works in a wide variety of media, from pencil and watercolour to tapestry weaving and block printing. Her main source of inspiration has remained her hometown of Port Hope. Nostalgia, liminality, the comfortable, and the uncomfortable are Madeleine’s favourite themes to explore. In her work, she aims to glorify the mundane and analyze personal growth within static spaces. . . . #nativespecies #floraandfauna #localwildlife #porthope #ontario #nature #lookandfind #colouring #colouringpage #diversity #criticalmass #criticalmassart #contemporaryart #WeAreHere #installation #community #covidart #downtown #publicart #openairgallery #artinisolation #artconnects . . @municipalityofporthope @exploreporthope @downtownporthope @tapioca.cream
