We are always happy to support local great businesses. Have you heard of Desert Flower honey? Heres a little word from them about what they do. ... Hi! My name is Tim Bouwmeester and I developed a passion for bees while studying entomology and apiculture at the University of Guelph in the late 1980's. In the early 90's I worked for beekeepers in northern Ontario. In 1995 we moved to the Okanagan and set up my first apiary on the Naramata Bench. I now have approximately 90 hives in the Naramata and Penticton area. My honey is made from a combination of apple blossom, acacia, vetch, sumac, sweet clover and other local desert flowers. The terroir in this area not only makes great wine, it also makes incredible honey! With every purchase of honey two dollars is donated to Critteraid. Currently you will find it for sell at our shop in beautiful downtown Summerland
