Thank you to all who have and continue to share their RMT stories on RMTACT.ca. These stories are vital to our cause and as we build momentum in our fight to have the GST/HST removed from massage therapy services. Today, we’re sharing the story of one of your colleagues, Dani Faucher RMT, an RMT from London, Ontario who like many of you, has been working with patients facing a variety of issues and challenges to help them rediscover and focus on what they can do, rather than what they can’t. We invite you to share Dani's story to highlight the full impact and value of the work that RMTs do, and to share your own story on rmtact.ca/story.
As part of our fight for tax exemption we challenged you to share our campaign on RMTACT.ca so that we could reach 5,000 supporters by Canada day. You've stepped up to the plate and we've surpassed that goal, with over 5,700 supporters signed up for updates. There's still more to be done! We want to prove that RMTs across Canada are united behind this campaign and our new goal is 7,500 supporters by Canada Day. We've added a recent update to the RMTACT website explaining wh...at advocacy entails and why it's important in our fight for HST exemption. We've also outlined the many ways you can be an advocate and make a difference. One of the biggest ways to contribute is by sharing your story. Sharing how this issue impacts you, the people you know, and your patients can be a powerful tool when looking to influence government decisions. This makes the issue real and can truly bring an issue or cause to life. We need your engagement to help us spread the word that massage therapy is health care, not a luxury. Sign up for updates on www.RMTACT.ca and share your story.
As part of our fight for tax exemption for RMTs, we are encouraging RMTs across Canada to share their RMT stories. By sharing your story about the important role RMTs play in patients' lives, you will be helping the public to understand the need for RMTs to join the likes of other registered health practitioners and health care services by removing the HST. Several stories have already been published and we hope to gather as many stories as possible!
Join over 3,800 supporters and show your support today for RMTs. Our goal is 5,000 supporters signed up by July 1! Adding your support to the fight to remove the HST from RMT services for Canadians will help solidify massage therapy as a health care servicenot a luxuryand as an important part of a patients’ health care team. We're fighting #RMTaxation. Are you in?
The Canadian Massage Therapist Alliance works to support the regulation of massage therapy in all unregulated provinces.
