We are saddened to hear that the legendary Croatian singer Krunoslav Kio Slabinac has passed away. A talented singer who was comfortable in singing many genres of music, he was adored by fans in Croatia and abroad. He will be missed!... On this day we commemorate Vukovar and Škabrnja Memorial Day. These spots hold a special place in our hearts by virtue of the innocent lives taken during the invasion of Croatia in 1991. Given the recent provincial government decision to place Hamilton in the "Red Zone", our folklore program has been put on hold for the time being. We remain hopeful that regular practices will resume sooner rather than later. All of us long for an opportunity where we can celebrate together at our Dom.
