LEED is an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and is a set of standards for the construction and operation of green buildings. A LEED Green Associate certification is required for access to LEED projects, and provides an understanding of LEED rating systems and minimum project requirements. As a LEED Green Associate, Michael ...understands the certification process, registration and documentation of a LEED project. This knowledge and skill set has the potential to be a great asset for Crombie's plans for future buildings and property development, by being versed in the many aspects of green buildings and taking a project through LEED certification. Meet Jody Haynes, Assistant Property Manager! Jody joined Crombie 10 short weeks before we all began working from home! Prior to working at Crombie, Jody worked as a Retail and Operations Coordinator at a mixed-use retail centre in Calgary, AB. In this role she collaborated with several departments including, but not limited to, marketing, leasing, development, operations, and tenant relations! Jody has worn many hats throughout her successful career! Jody describes herself a...s approachable, an active learner, and an over achiever. She has an immense passion for learning, researching, and acquiring knowledge! Jody is currently enrolled in a Real Property Administrator designation program and will pursue additional designations and certifications in the years to come. In her leisure time, Jody can be found indoor cycling from home, gardening, and crafting! Her love of cooking keeps her busy, especially during the pandemic. Jody's personal mantra is the golden rule, the principle of treating others as you want to be treated. We are so pleased to have welcomed Jody to our team! Thank you for everything you do.

Meet Ian MacDonald, Manager of Atlantic Development! Ian joined Crombie in early February 2020, just in time to be working from home for 8 months! Prior to joining our team, Ian held several progressive roles at Scotiabank, most recently being Senior Associate with Roynat Capital. In his previous role, Ian was involved with commercial real estate lending, new construction financing, and income property lending. At Crombie, his overarching responsibility is to deliver developm...ent projects that meet targeted financial returns. To do so, Ian collaborates with outside parties and several internal departments, such as finance, leasing, cost estimating, communications, and construction. Ian describes himself as loyal and someone who likes to ask a lot of questions. His personal mantra is, that once the game is finished the king and the pawn go back in the same box. In his spare time, he enjoys family time, beach days, and rec hockey. Ian is definitely a team player! We are happy to have welcomed Ian to team Crombie!
